Unprepared Teachers

Responce-
I think that teachers should be prepared to teach these skills. They cannot teach students the appropriate material if the teachers are not educated about these materials.Students are constantly viewing online material. These students need to be able read online material and understand what they have read.
Teachers could use online material in their classroom to their benefit.The majority of text books that most schools use in classrooms are outdated or are of poor quality. Texts books are also very expensive unlike most online material that is free.
The world of technology is swiftly changing and educators need to keep up in order to prepare their students for the future.

    I agree with you, we as teachers do need to teach these kids all of these skills. And how are we supposed to teach them and guide them if we aren't sure what we are doing?!?!

    I agree! Teachers are being pushed to implement technology into their classrooms; however, they are not provided with adequate training to be able to understand the technology they are told to implement. Its time for teachers to be educated as well as their students.

    I agree with your posting. Teachers need to be teaching these type of skills to students and they also need to know the skills to be able to teach them or students won't know.
